Main
themes of WOI (Story)
With WOI I wish to tackle three important
themes towards today’s youth. The themes that WOI center’s around are purpose,
fellowship, and love. I found these themes to be some of the most important
factors to improving one’s character. Love is used as a powerful force that can
overcome many obstacles. Fellowship is used as the fulfillment of Love and the
improvement of character. Finally, Purpose is the driving force of everything.
Without purpose in life there is no point in anything. Purpose is the primary
main theme with Love and Fellowship being there to support it.
I wish to ask with WOI what is the point
of anything? Is there really any point to living if we will die and be
forgotten in due time? WOI wishes to show the different ways people arrive at
an answer to this question. The main protagonist Frizz finds purpose means to
serve something greater than yourself. Rendura finds purpose in protecting those
she loves. Norman finds purpose in bringing joy to others lives. Tobin finds
purpose in the discovering the sciences of the universe and its anomalies. Rift
finds purpose being loved as a member of her newfound family of friends. Florina finds purpose in leading people through crisis. Serene
finds purpose ridding the world of evil and protecting the innocent. All of the
main characters come back to the central idea of finding purpose.
The ideas of love and fellowship serve to
compliment the main theme of purpose. The 7 main characters all have a
fellowship with one another. This fellowship allows for each of them to lift
each other up and achieve their goals in life. Thus, the fellowship acts a way
for each character to grow stronger and achieve their purpose. Love is central
as the fellowship wouldn’t work without love. Love in WOI is as a foundation
for the story and it holds the story up. Without the characters loving each
other then there is no WOI.
There are many other themes that I would
like to tackle with WOI. However, these three themes will have the most depth
and time spent in them. Please critique the themes used if you believe they may
be unnecessary. Thank you and please continue following the WOI project.
